A graduate of California State University Sacramento, where Tessa repeatedly appeared on the Dean's honor roll, she went on to earn her law degree from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law where she was awarded Top Honors in Trial Advocacy.  She has practiced in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Shasta, and Tehama Counties. Tessa has handled all aspects of family law cases since 2011. Tessa divides her time between her office in El Dorado County and her family. She is happy to assist clients in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties.

When negotiation fails, Tessa is polished, professional, and assertive in the courtroom. She advocates aggressively for her clients and believes the best outcomes are possible when clients are well-informed of the potential benefits and risks of every litigation decision. She has a good working relationship with the courts and will work with your ex or their attorney to reach agreements wherever possible because she also understands that many clients, particularly in custody and visitation cases, are able to get at least most of the way to an agreement on their own. When that is not possible, Tessa understands the complex family court system that California has established and can help you navigate your custody battle to the end.
